How to prepare your own vegetable milk, so you don’t spend a fortune

The most common: soy milk

Soy milk is the most common and is without a doubt, the best option for those who do not tolerate dairy of animal origin. Soy contains a complete low-fat protein. Helps lower cholesterol, improves circulation and heart function. It prevents osteoporosis and potassium works as a diuretic. 

To prepare it you need :

  • 250 grams of soy
  • 800 ml of water
  • a permeable cloth
  • a container and a strainer

Beforehand, soak the soybeans for 12 hours. Change the liquid every 4 hours and after the last rinse, scoop out the grains and peel them as much as possible. Steam the beans for 5 minutes to remove the bitter taste, then blend until pureed. Add the water little by little until it has an acceptable consistency. Bring to a boil and then remove from heat. Place the canvas on the strainer and put it on the container in which you will pour the liquid. Let it cool, and voila, you have soy milk that you must refrigerate.
